ATG USA Ham Roller

I’ve been a fan of the Nordic hamstring curl for over 10 years, and both my original and current ATG gyms have hamstring curl machines (which cost $3,000), but the Nordic can be INTENSE, and hamstring curl machines are too bulky and costly for me to use with the 100 high school students I now volunteer coach…

Fortunately, the ham roller has been a winner! I’m able to line up 10 of them and coach huge groups of students, with the Nordic as an optional bonus for advanced athletes.

So the progression I now use is:

1. Ham Roller: 2 legs
2. Ham Roller: 2 legs up, 1 leg down
3. Ham Roller: 1 leg
4. Nordic eccentric! (“Eccentric” in exercise means just the way down)
